The KW Gymnastics Club (KWGC) has been a recognized community sports pioneer in the region for over five decades. KWGC is a not-for-profit organization, offering a variety of classes for all ages and abilities. As a community-based organization, KWGC’s mission is to offer diverse opportunities that promote life-long participation, nurture athletic excellence, and promote confidence, and enjoyment, in a safe and respectful environment to foster the love of gymnastics. Reports To: MAG Program Director/Head Coach
Position: Part Time Coach
Start Date: January, 2022
Wage: Commensurate with Experience and Qualifications
Responsibilities Include:
- Coaching athletes within a decided schedule (Interclub Optional 12 hours per week)
- Working collaboratively to complete lesson planning
- Attendance at competitions, training camps, etc.
- Attend Club and MAG program staff meetings & training sessions
Knowledge, Skills & Certification:
- Experience coaching at the interclub levels of Men’s Artistic Gymnastics
- artistic gymnastics
- Seeks initiative to complete tasks independently
- Ability to work in a strong team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Energetic, active and engaging while coaching, to create a positive training environment for athletes
- Minimum Comp 1 MAG Certified & Comp 1 Trampoline certified
- First Aid certification and a Vulnerable Sector Check will also be required
