Robby Myers

As an Ocean Torchbearer, I am a responsible steward of the incredible gift of the ocean that has been entrusted to us. I pledge to be respectful of marine life and the environment by following the practice of taking only pictures and leaving only bubbles. As a diver, I want future generations of divers to be able to experience a healthier, more-beautiful ocean.

Candice Landau

As an Ocean Torchbearer, I commit to be an advocate for our oceans and their abundant life forms. I will do this by sharing the beauty of our underwater world, by opting for plant-based meals and by striving to be a kind diver in every way possible, from participating in underwater trash collection to supporting policies, organizations and groups that safeguard marine ecosystems.

Ariella Simke

To me, being an Ocean Torchbearer means honoring all the joyful moments and important lessons the ocean has given me and trying to give back. I pledge to remain hopeful and optimistic about the state of the underwater world and to use my voice to inspire others to make a connection to the ocean. In this way, it can be valued and protected.

Dave Carriere

As an Ocean Torchbearer, I advocate for sustainable transportation in my community to decrease our reliance on fossil fuels and mitigate the destructive effects personal automobiles have on the environment.

Kristin Paterakis

Embracing my role as an Ocean Torchbearer, I am committed to the principles of exploration, protection, education and inspiration. As an advocate for the oceans, I pledge to embark on explorations that deepen my understanding of the interconnectedness between our actions and the planet’s well-being. I will protect the ecosystems that serve as both a playground and a classroom. And I will enthusiastically share my gained education with others, particularly mentoring those who have limited access to ocean education, thus nurturing the next generation of ocean stewards.

Monica Medina

As an Ocean Torchbearer, I pledge to reduce my use of plastic and also continue to pick up plastic and recycle.

Toni Shelley

As an Ocean Torchbearer, I aim to consciously reduce my use of single-use plastics on a daily basis and practice leave-no-trace principles on both land & the ocean. Most importantly, I aim to forever be a curious student to keep educating myself on ways to make a difference in our underwater world.

Caitlin McCall

As an Ocean Torchbearer, I aim to be conscious during my time enjoying the ocean. Whether that means picking up trash at our planet’s beaches or on the coral reef and everywhere in between. Just a few minutes of cleanup can make a huge difference and save sea life!
