Shoprite Competition

Valid from 01 April to 31 May 2023

Customers stand a chance to win a share of R500 000 in Trolley Dash and Betting Vouchers.

To enter, customers need to Purchase a Holly Top Up Voucher to the value of R50 or more at any Shoprite, Checkers and Usave store, redeem it into their Hollywoodbets account and opt in once on the promotions page.

1. The competition runs from 01 April 2023 – 31 May 2023.

• The final draw of the competition will take place on 31 May 2023.

2. Contestants must be over the age of 18 to participate in the competition and have a valid Hollywoodbets account.
3. Top Up Vouchers must be purchased between 01 April – 31 May 2023.
4. Every Top Up Voucher counts as one entry into the competition and each voucher can only be used once.
5. Entries are not limited; all losing entries that are not drawn in the previous draw will be carried forward to the next draw.
6. The winners will be selected randomly via a draw from all valid entries.
7. The winners are limited to one prize only throughout the competition.
8. The winners will be notified via phone call/SMS by a Hollywoodbets representative.

9. Betting Voucher prizes will be credited within 2 – 3 working days from draw dates.
10. Trolley dash prizes can be collected within 5 – 10 working days from draw dates.
11. Each winner for the Trolley dash will be given 2 minutes to complete the Trolley Dash.
12. Each Trolley Dash is capped at R3 500.
13. The winner will need to provide us with an activated Hollywoodbets cell phone number and address to claim the prize.
14. Winners for the draw will be drawn on the below dates.

Weekly Draw dates:

1. Week 1 – 05 April (10 Trolley dash, 40 Betting Vouchers).
2. Week 2 – 12 April (10 Trolley dash, 40 Betting Vouchers).
3. Week 3 – 19 April (10 Trolley dash, 40 Betting Vouchers).
4. Week 4 – 26 April (10 Trolley dash, 40 Betting Vouchers).
5. Week 5 – 03 May (10 Trolley dash, 40 Betting Vouchers).
6. Week 6 – 10 May (10 Trolley dash, 40 Betting Vouchers).
7. Week 7 – 17 May (10 Trolley dash, 40 Betting Vouchers).
8. Week 8 – 24 May (10 Trolley dash, 45 Betting Vouchers).
9. Week 9 – 31 May (10 Trolley dash, 45 Betting Vouchers).

Prize Breakdown:

• 90 x Grand Prize Trolley Dash @ R3 500 per person, 10 winners a week.
• 370 x Betting Voucher Prize @ R500 per person, 40 – 43 winners a week.
• Total number of winners 460.

15. The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
16. Hollywoodbets’ decision regarding the winners is final and no correspondence related to the entry will be considered.
17. By entering the competition, you agree:
    1. that Hollywoodbets may collect and process your personal information for the purposes of the competition,
    2. to receiving communication from Hollywoodbets’ sponsors and partners,
    3. to take part in reasonable post-event publicity and to the use of your name/s and photographs in such publicity, subject to the winner’s right to decline participation in any such promotional activities.
18. A person may not win more than one prize for the duration of the competition.
19. The winners agree to take part in reasonable post-event publicity and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity, subject to the winner’s right to decline participation in any such promotional activities.
20. Hollywoodbets and its authorised agents reserve the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes which have not already been won, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations, which you may have against Hollywoodbets or its authorised agents and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Hollywoodbets or its authorised agents.
21. Every entrant participating in the competition shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted these terms and conditions by virtue of their participation.
22. This competition is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of Hollywoodbets or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Hollywoodbets or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members of all of the above.
23. By entering and participating and/or accepting any prize, the entrants, participants, users and/or winners hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless Hollywoodbets (including its subsidiaries, associate companies and affiliates), its directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors from and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss, damage, expense, claim and/or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the competition, and/or the use, acceptance or possession of a prize, and/or participation (or non-participation) in a prize-related activity.
24. Should there be any unresolved disputes, Hollywoodbets will forward the relevant dispute to the Eastern Cape Gambling Board. Alternatively, the Complainant can forward any unresolved disputes to the Eastern Cape Gambling Board Office on 043 702 8300.
