JOYFUL PROSPERITY is a son of Daiwa Major. 5 of his 6 siblings are winners and Aussie-ace Hugh Bowman takes the ride.

EL VALIENTE was making good late progress in his last start when beaten three lengths by Zacian. He brings some decent All Weather form lines into this contest and should be one of the leading contenders. GOLD COMET finished 3.5 lengths behind CHIRON in his penultimate start. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights and could be one to fill the exacta spot.

FARIBAULT was only beaten a few lengths by the progressive G One Excellent last time. He is nicely handicapped in this field and has strong claims with Luke Ferraris in the irons. CIRCUIT SEVEN is much better than his last start suggests. He returns from a one-month layoff, shoulders a handy galloping weight and cannot be ruled out of contention.

AMAZING TEENS and NICE BIRDIE were only separated by a length on this course last time. The pair meet on similar weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much between them when they hit the line. BILLIONAIRE SECRET was only beaten a length on turf last time and can run into the money if overcoming the wide draw.

BULB PRINCE and PERFETTO finished alongside each other last time when a beaten a few lengths by Darci Joy. The pair look well-placed in this contest and are both genuine contenders. SMILING COLLECTOR is better than his below-par last effort and it will be no surprise to see him return to best form.

STAR BRITE produced a good last effort when beaten 1.5 lengths by Lucky Eight in a competitive field and Silvestre De Sousa may be able to coax a little bit extra out of him. ATOMIC FORCE was a good comeback winner and finished 2.5 lengths in-front of CALIFORNIA DEEPLY on that occasion. He is nicely weighted and will be looking to make it quick back-to-back wins.

HAPPY GOLF ran on nicely to win his last start over this C&D defeating Easy Snip. Hugh Bowman has kept faith in the ride and the combination merit healthy respect. TIMESTORM was only beaten a couple of lengths by surprise winner My Intelligent last time. He has decent form lines to his credit and can run into the quartet.

LUCKY SWEYNESSE was given a peach of a ride to win the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup. He is going for four wins on the trot and should take a power of beating with current Hong Kong champion jockey back in the saddle. WELLINGTON finished four lengths behind the top selection last time and is the biggest danger in The Sprint Cup.

CALIFORNIA SPANGLE is back over a mile and is likely to head affairs from a neat draw. He is the class-package in the race and definitely looks one of the better bets on the card. MONEY CATCHER finished 1.5 lengths behind the champ Golden Sixty last time. He gets 2kgs from the top selection and can give a good account of himself in The Chairman’s Trophy.
11:15 – Race 10 | Class 2 | 1400m

PACKING TREADMILL is a talented sort having recorded 6 wins from 10 starts. He was beaten by Victor The Winner over a trip short of his best and will appreciate the step up in distance. FANTASTIC TREASURE made a form return when just under two lengths behind CIRCUIT STELLAR. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.

UNPRESUMING followed up back-to-back wins with a good effort behind strong favorite Mighty Stride. This Size-trained inmate is still on the upgrade and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. SOLID IMPACT is in a rich vein of form. He was beaten a head in his last start and will be looking to make amends in the lucky last!
