The 2022 Rugby Championship is still in the balance heading into the final round.

New Zealand sit atop the table, level on 14 match points with South Africa but with a better points difference. It’s expected that one of those two sides will lift the trophy, but Australia and Argentina are still mathematically in with a chance of lifting the trophy.

Australia, who came so close to beating the All Blacks in Melbourne last week, need a bonus-point win at Eden Park to put themselves in contention – but they also need to deny New Zealand a losing bonus and for Argentina to convincingly beat the Springboks.

While it is also possible for Argentina to win the competition, it is unlikely. Not only would they need the All Blacks and Springboks to lose without picking up a bonus point but they’d need Australia to win without a bonus point and to make up a huge points difference deficit (they’re currently on -43).

It’s sure to be a fascinating weekend, with the All Blacks kicking things off against the Wallabies before the Springboks host the Pumas in Durban – those in the later fixture will know exactly what is required to win the title before the first whistle.

Following on from its coverage of the home nations’ July tours, Sky Sports has the rights to show all 12 of this year’s Rugby Championship matches.

New Zealand v Australia (kick-off 8.05am UK & Ireland time) will be shown live on Sky Sports’ Main Event and Arena channels from 8am on Saturday morning.

South Africa v Argentina (4.05pm) airs on Sky Sports Mix from 3.55pm on Saturday.

South Africa v Argentina gets underway at 1.05am on Sunday morning, with coverage from 12.55am.
