Race 1: WATCH TOWER (4)
Jockey: J P v’d Merwe – Trainer: G Smith
WATCH TOWER has produced four creditable efforts to date. He did not get off to the best of starts last time and rallied late to finish second. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Jackson tries the blinkers for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. In this line-up, he should be the horse to beat.
Race 2: GRAZINGINTHEGRAS (1)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: A Greeff
GRAZINGINTHEGRASS was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 2000m on the turf. He was slow into stride, but finished his race off strongly. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Despite his big mass of 62kgs, he should notch up the hat-trick.
Race 4: BOURNEMOUTH (1)
Jockey: R Fourie– Trainer: A Greef
BOURNEMOUTH showed good improvement in his local debut over 1400m on the turf. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. The son of Canford Cliffs would have come on from the run and if suited to the polytrack, he should be too good for this field.
Race 7: CHERRY ANO (3)
Jockey: S Khumalo – Trainer: G Smith
CHERRY ANO ran a good race when second against stronger company over this distance on the turf last time. He raced from a handy position, but found one too good in the form of Bush Tracker. The son of Capetown Noir takes a drop back in class and if suited to this surface, he should notch up his fourth career victory.

Race 8: EUPHORIC (6)
Jockey: K Steyn – Trainer: J Strydom
EUPHORIC ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. The manner in which he ran on at the business end was encouraging. He has won once, finished second three times and third once from seven starts over this C&D. He takes a drop in class and with Keanen Steyn retaining the ride, he can go one better.
