2023 European Championships | Men’s Team Final + Individual Qualifications Live Blog

Welcome to the live blog for for the men’s team final and individual qualifications at the 2023 European Championships, held in Antalya, Türkiye!

Please refresh your browser every few minutes to see the most recent updates, which will appear at the top of the page.

6:12 am. Okay, I’m going to TRY to be back for the next subdivision at 7 am ET, aka in 48 minutes, but I also have been awake for 21 hours so I MIGHT need to sleep. I will definitely be back for the third and final subdivision at 10:30 am ET because I will be multitasking it with my job lol.

If I don’t make it back, the next subdivision includes Slovakia, Monaco, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Spain, Lithuania, Cyprus, Israel, Portugal, Belgium, Poland, Greece, and Romania. Spain is automatically qualified to worlds based on finishing top 8 in Liverpool last year, but I think Israel, Belgium, and Bulgaria might all have good chances at breaking into the top group here to qualify? Bulgaria with the Penev brothers should be really interesting. I want to stay awake just to see Eddie back on floor and vault! We’ll see.

6:05 am. Nore Stene NOR FX: Great landing on the piked double front, maybe a little seated but very controlled. Front full to double front with a hop forward. 2.5 to front layout with a hop forward. Clean double full. Front double full, lunge forward. Finishes with a triple full, step back. Fabulous!

6:03 am. Peder Skogvang NOR FX: Nice randi to start. Front full to double front is excellent. Hit the third pass. Stuck the 2.5 to front layout. Triple full, looked stuck! Loved this.

Radomir Sliz CZE PH: Individual athlete. He has a great natural rhythm. Great Russian sequence at the end, this was a massive hit, too bad the team can’t count this score! This was great. Ooh, 14.366! Even better than I thought, his D is a 5.9.

6:01 am. Ondrej Kalny CZE PH: Lost most of this with a stream freeze but don’t think he fell.

Jacob Buus DEN HB: Caught this from the Zou Li Min, maybe that was the beginning, who knows. Tak half went right to handstand. Hop full. Piked Tkachev, straddle Tkachev, stalder, full-twisting double layout, great landing, this was nice!

6:00 am. Sofus Heggemsnes NOR FX: Big double double, hit the second pass, then a 2.5 to front full. Clean double full down the side, stuck it. Good triple full!

5:59 am. Robert Kirmes FIN SR: really had to fight to get a giant to handstand, and then the next arched over severely. Crashed the double double dismount unfortunately.

Daniel Bago CZE PH: I missed this!

5:57 am. Harald Wibye NOR FX: Explosive double double! Step back. Front double full with a step forward. 2.5 with a step forward OOB. Hit the triple full at the end.

Daniel Radovesnicky CZE PH: Didn’t see most of this but think it was a hit.

Elias Koski FIN SR: Iron cross was nice, as was his planche position, maybe didn’t hold it quite long enough. Small hop on the dismount.

5:54 am. Jacob Karlsen NOR FX: Double front half, little bit of a wobble. Hit the second pass, which finished in a barani. Couldn’t see the third pass due to the camera looking elsewhere once again. Layout down the side. 2.5 with a step forward.

Jack Gagamov CZE PH: Scissors through to circles went well. Unfortunately had a fall near the end and had to remount.

Ivan Tikhonov AZE HB: Layout Tkachev, straddle Tkachev, front full pirouette, Endo, stalder, and a double double layout, small hop back. Good work!

Tarmo Kanerva FIN SR: Solid start for the team here! Good clean hit.

5:51 am. Touch for the second half of the final rotation! We’ll finish with Norway on floor, Czechia on pommels, Finland on rings, and Azerbaijan and Denmark on high bar.

5:48 am. Milan Hosseini GER FX: Individual athlete. Randi down the side to start, small hop. 2.5 to front layout to front double full, awesome!!! Double double, small hop back. Steps into the corner, I missed the next pass. Hit a triple full at the end, I may have missed another pass. This was great from what I saw!

5:47 am. Karl Idesjö SWE PB: Saw most of this and it was solid! Full-in dismount with a hop back. Good work overall.

5:46 am. Lucas Kochan GER FX: I think a randi for his first pass, the camera was looking elsewhere lol. But landing looked randi-esque. Hit the second pass as well, hop back. Front full to double front is good! Good 1.5 to front tuck full. Triple full with a lunge back at the end.

Igor Radivilov UKR SR: Hit everything I saw at the beginning, strong planche position, double double a bit low with a hop. 14.300

5:45 am. Ricardo Rudy AUT PH: Has a nice swing, pretty clean form, transitions well into the flairs, really nice control in them and back into circles into the dismount, this was excellent!

5:44 am. I think vault is over, my stream has been dead, but I haven’t seen anything over there. Apologies for not following p-bars or high bar, they go too quickly!

5:41 am. Nick Klessing GER FX: Big piked double front, small hop. Front full to low double front, but rotates it well, too well, step forward. Front double full, leg form. Double full down the side, stuck. 2.5 to front tuck, punches REALLY low and nearly sits it but doesn’t look like his butt touches. Arabian double front, over-rotates it and runs forward out of it. Clearly he needs to do a half-out!

Pantely Kolodii UKR SR: Good salto elements to pike sit, pressed well to handstand, good control. Double double with a small hop back.

Askhab Matiev AUT PH: Didn’t pay attention to this but it went by quick, think it was a hit!

5:39 am. Illia Kovtun UKR SR: Didn’t notice anything detrimental in this. Just a bit arched in handstands at times and a hop forward on the dismount.

Pascal Brendel GER FX: Big randi to start. Front double full to front layout, nice stretch in those! Double front with a hop forward. Good double full. 2.5 to front layout. Small step on the triple full.

Alexander Benda AUT PH: Glad to see he’s back after skipping floor. Looked like a hit routine.

5:38 am. Joakim Lenberg SWE PB: Caught a little of this, had a few iffy moments, but loved the handstand before the double pike, a bit low with a step forward.

5:35 am. Nils Dunkel GER FX: Strong double front, cheats a hop out of it. Arabian double front with a hop forward. 2.5 to front layout, tucks his knees a bit. Double full, chest down. Triple full, crossed ankles and a big lunge forward to finish.

Severin Kranzlmüller AUT PH: Starts them off with a nice hit!

Radomyr Stelmakh UKR SR: Swinging a lot on the saltos to pike sit, maybe a little short in the press handstand after. Whips that double double around and gets a good landing!

5:32 am. Moving to the final rotation! Pray that I can nap for an hour between this and the second subdivision!

5:29 am. Nore Stene NOR HB: Individual athlete, he had to have a separate warmup from the team which feels silly, now it’s taking even longer. Here we go! Layout Tkachev, tucks his legs out of it and can’t get the giant around, hops off. Nice inbar, blind change to front giant, Tak, crashes the tucked double double dismount.

5:25 am. Pavel Titov FIN PH: Individual athlete, unfortunately had something go awry early on, ended up sitting on the horse. He’s such a pretty clean and aggressive pommel worker and the rest of the routine is great, bummer about the fall.

Sofus Heggemsnes NOR HB: Big Yamawaki, full-twisting layout Tkachev, layout Tkachev to straddle Tkachev, hop full, Rybalko, a little late, Endo, and a double double layout with a hop forward. Awesome!!! 13.500!

5:22 am. Martin Pospisil CZE FX: Double back and front double full, both solid. Clean double full as well. Rudi down the side. Deep last pass but nice hit routine!

Oskar Kirmes FIN PH: Hit routine!

Harald Wibye NOR HB: Didn’t see most of this, had a leg separation on a pirouette, HUGE full-twisting double layout dismount went completely out of frame in the landing.

5:20 am. Robert Kirmes FIN PH: Had a good scissor moment at the beginning. Unfortunately off halfway through. Off again after that, like, immediately after re-mounting.

Ondrej Kalny CZE FX: Hit the first pass, then a front double full. Weird stumble on a front tuck full near the end. Triple full to finish with a step back.

Peder Skogvang NOR HB: Hit a release at the beginning but I missed what it was. The rest was good, good landing on the dismount.

5:18 am. Jacob Karlsen NOR HB: Zou Li Min, Endo, changes back to regular for a stalder, then giants to the full-twisting double layout, wobble and a hop forward.

5:16 am. Elias Koski FIN PH: I missed the beginning, legs slightly apart in the Russians, almost pretty fluid into the dismount, just a slight hesitation.

Daniel Bago CZE FX: Hit everything at the beginning. Front double full with a small hop at the end.

5:14 am. Daniel Radovesnicky CZE FX: Double tuck with a small hop. Hit the second pass. And the rest, until the end, when he sat the 2.5. Bummer!

Tarmo Kanerva FIN PH: Hit routine, looked pretty simple, no major drama that I saw.

5:10 am. Andreas Toba GER HB: Tak full, finishes late, Tak half, Kolman, Kovacs, layout Tkachev, straddle Tkachev, he’s killing it so far! Hop full, Rybalko finishes late, and a double double layout dismount, lands kind of lock-legged but doesn’t seem to have any issues with that. 13.166

Illia Kovtun UKR PH: Moved really well at the beginning, brilliant on the Russians between the pommels, travels in Russians and then does them again at the end, transitions to circles before his dismount, loses leg form for a second but overall this was excellent! 14.400!

5:09 am. Alexander Benda scratched floor, it looks like…

5:06 am. Lucas Kochan GER HB: Think he had a Zou Li Min and a Tak full at the beginning, Tak half, layout Tkachev, ugh, a fall on that. Off again on another Tkachev. Hit everything when he remounted, dismounts with a double double layout with a hop back.

Askhab Matiev AUT FX: 3.5! Step forward. Hit the next pass and then a 2.5 to front layout, small hop. Hit the last pass. Hit everything I saw but there were a few freezes throughout.

Mykyta Melnykov UKR PH: Scissors to circles. Russians on the single pommel. Travels in Russians, some soft hips, leg form and a fight to the dismount.

Karl Idesjö SWE VT: Didn’t see what he did but thought I saw him fall In the background.

5:03 am. Marcus Stenberg SWE VT: Kaz half I think but I missed the entry, landed OOB with a foot.

Pascal Brendel GER HB: Tak half, layout Tkachev, hop full, Yamawaki to Endo, full-twisting double layout with a hop back.

Ricardo Rudy AUT FX: Double front, lunge forward. Front double full to front layout. 2.5 with a step at the end.

Radomyr Stelmakh UKR PH: Believe he had a fall. Saw after he remounted, loved the Russians at the end of the horse into the dismount.

5:02 am. Severin Kranzlmüller AUT FX: Hit the first pass followed by a 2.5 to front layout. Strong double front. Had a hop on the second-to-last pass and a skid back with a step on the 2.5 to finish.

Pantely Kolodii UKR PH: Wasn’t typing but looked like a hit routine! Lost leg form a few times near the end but fought to stay on throughout it all.

Nils Dunkel GER HB: Wasn’t typing but a hit routine from what I saw, just a big lunge forward on the dismount.

4:58 am. Moving to rotation five! I am LOSING STEAM.

4:56 am. Oskar Kirmes FIN FX: Piked double front with a lunge forward OOB. Front full to front double full, small step forward. 2.5 to front layout, baby hop forward. Double full down the side, two small steps back. Triple full with a small hop.

4:54 am. Jack Gagamov CZE HB: Kolman, some leg form, but good catch! Some piked hips in giants. Straddle Tkachev. Full-twisting double layout with a lunge forward.

Harald Wibye NOR PB: Had a single rail transition and back that went well, arched over on a half pirouette, but otherwise this was really good, had mostly great stuff. Double pike with a small hop.

4:51 am. Robert Kirmes FIN FX: Huge randi but may have landed OOB. 2.5 to front full with a big skid and stumble back. Good double full. Looked like a tucked full-in for his second-to-last pass, and then a triple full, good landing there.

Whoever is working the camera for floor zooms in so close that you can’t see what they’re doing, and then zooms out after they’ve landed, I’m going to find them and tell them how to do their job.

Sofus Heggemsnes NOR PB: Did some great work that I caught. Looked like a full-out dismount, a bit low and iffy on the landing, but hit routine!

Martin Pospisil CZE HB: I didn’t see any releases in this, mostly built difficulty on front giant skills, full-twisting double layout with a hop.

4:48 am. Daniel Bago CZE HB: Yamawaki. One-arm giant. Some front giant work, including an Endo. Stalder. Full-twisting double layout with a big step.

Elias Koski FIN FX: Double front, clean, small hop. Couldn’t see the second pass. Clean front double full. Deep but hit triple!

Sebastian Sponevik NOR PB: A bit tentative on the first basket element. good handstand before the full pirouette to Makuts, and a double pike with a small step.

4:46 am. Tarmo Kanerva FIN FX: I missed the beginning because – you guessed it! Clean double full. Good 2.5 to finish.

Daniel Radovesnicky CZE HB: Had a nice full-twisting double layout dismount.

I didn’t get to see Ivan Tikhonov on vault, unfortunately.

4:45 am. Wrapping up the touch for the second half! Hopefully more streams will work this time, I tried to focus on just a couple of events in the last half.

4:41 am. Illia Kovtun UKR FX: Front full to double front, lunge forward. Clean piked double front but comes in a little forward and takes a bit lunge again. 3.5 with a small hop, casual. Randi, stuck with feet apart. 2.5 to front layout. He really does five massive passes before moving into his strength elements! Triple full, some crossed ankles in the air, landed well. 14.066 (6.1, 7.966)

Pascal Brendel GER PB: I missed this but he scored a 14.2!

4:38 am. Karl Idesjö SWE SR: Wasn’t typing but this was really solid!

Radomyr Stelmakh UKR FX: Randi, a little low, small bounce. Step on his second pass and a hop forward out of the 2.5. Clean double full. Ugh, went for a 3.5 but sat it. Triple full to finish.

4:36 am. Nils Dunkel GER PB: A bit wonky in some pirouettes at the start but cleaned up nicely, held the handstand before a full pirouette to half pirouette for an hour, big hop forward on the double front.

These streams are going to be the death of me. They are freezing more than working now.

4:33 am. Andreas Toba GER PB: I only saw the end, which was fine, double pike with a small hop forward.

Mykyta Melnykov UKR FX: Hand down after the front full to double front. Hit the second pass. Randi with a big step back. Good double full. Feed froze so I missed the rest.

4:30 am. Pantely Kolodii UKR FX: Front double full to rudi, and then a randi, both decent. Also had a strong full-in.

Askhab Matiev AUT HB: Hit everything I saw until it froze, then a big tucked double double dismount.

Kevin Buckley SLO VT: Stumbled to the side off the mat.

4:28 am. Some greatness in that rotation! Norway on vault with a slay. Nikita Simonov went 14.666 on rings! And Finland high bar is SO advanced compared to most other smaller programs.

About to have some 4:30 am pasta 🙂 🙂 🙂

4:25 am. Oskar Kirmes FIN HB: Wasn’t typing during this but he had a nice Kovacs and a clean full-twisting double layout!

4:23 am. Robert Kirmes FIN HB: Zou Li Min, Tak half, muscled through it but was successful, legs came wildly apart on a pirouette after that, straddle Tkachev, toe-on, inbar, ooh, high triple back!

4:22 am. Nore Stene NOR VT: Competing as an individual. Kaz double full with a slide/lunge back.

Daniel Bago CZE PB: Little deductions early on but he cleaned up nicely in the middle, really fluid work overall. Double front with a little lunge forward.

4:21 am. Elias Koski FIN HB: Endo full, Tak half, piked Tkachev, straddle Tkachev, toe-on, blind change to Zou Li Min, full-twisting double layout with a hop back. Some good work in there!

Daniel Radovesnicky CZE PB: Wasn’t typing during this but he had some really nice work, held a handstand at the end for an hour, clean double pike dismount.

4:19 am. Nikita Simonov AZE SR: Wasn’t typing at the beginning but it looked good. A bit archy and swayed on the inverted cross. Saltos to iron cross, feed froze after that but he hit a full-twisting double layout dismount with a small step.

Sofus Heggemsnes NOR VT: Ooh, almost stuck the Kaz 1.5! Baby step. Very clean. That was great.

Jack Gagamov CZE PB: Had a muscle up to handstand at one point but overall this was pretty solid. Front double full dismount, love that.

Sebastian Sponevik NOR VT: Handspring double front, small step, this was awesome! Kaz 1.5 with a big lunge forward for his second vault.

4:18 am. Jacob Karlsen NOR VT: Looked like a Kaz full, pretty clean in the air and a solid landing.

4:16 am. Harald Wibye NOR VT: Vault feed is frozen again but looked like he hit in the background of another screen!

Akseli Karsikas FIN HB: Ooh, hit a Kolman! Hit the rest, full-twisting double layout dismount.

Ivan Tikhonov AZE SR: Only saw his dismount, double double with a step forward.

4:13 am. Second half touch!

4:11 am. Illia Kovtun UKR HB: Zou Li Min, huge Yamawaki, layout Tkachev to straddle Tkachev to piked Tkachev, nice! Blind change was slightly late, Tak full is almost to handstand, Tak half is a bit short, stalder, hop full, and a double double with a small step. Fantastic!

4:10 am. Severin Kranzlmüller AUT PB: Oh no, another fall for Austria. He came off after transitioning to the single rail, when he was supposed to kip cast to handstand I think. Had another bobble when back on both bars and a small hop on the double pike.

Karl Idesjö SWE PH: I cut into this late but he hit what I saw pretty well and looks happy with it but who knows, he may have fallen before I started watching.

4:09 am. Radomyr Stelmakh UKR HB: One-arm front giant, Tak full is slightly late, Tak half was nice, big layout Tkachev, Kovacs was big as well, inbar, stalder, and a great double double layout! Small step to the side. Awesome routine.

4:07 am. William Sundell SWE PH: Ugh, another fall for him about halfway through his routine.

Alexander Benda AUT PB: Had a wild slip off the end of the bars? He looks off today, he originally didn’t even make the team which is odd for him as a usual top all-arounder, but was added when Höck and Arnold were injured. They’re only working with four guys today. The rest was hit once he remounted.

Milan Hosseini GER VT: Competing as an individual here, looked like he hit.

4:05 am. Nick Klessing GER VT: Handspring double front, a bit deep, but can’t complain! Second vault had some form problems but he looked like he stuck it! Kaz full maybe, I missed the entry.

Askhab Matiev AUT PB: Had a really solid full pirouette. Clean piked double back.

Mykyta Melnykov UKR HB: Kovacs, some leg form, German giants, straddle Tkachev, unfortunately put his hands down on the dismount.

4:03 am. Pascal Brendel GER VT: I think he hit a kaz full.

Luis Il-Sung Melander SWE PH: I saw him come off after a couple of skills. He’s pretty piked throughout, like, almost in an L kind of position.

Luka Bojanc SLO SR: Good from what I saw at the beginning, got a bit archy in handstands, I think he just did a front pike dismount and sat it? Looked like he came off really fast and the landing was unexpected.

Andreas Toba GER VT: Kaz 1.5, big step forward/to the side OOB.

3:59 am. Levan Skhiladze GEO FX: Front layout to double front, little hop. Front double full with a stumble. Had a couple of easier passes after that, including a back layout and front layout to front tuck.

Anze Hribar SLO SR: A little shaky at times.

Lucas Kochan GER VT: Ugh, never mind, the feed froze for this.

Pantely Kolodii UKR HB: Big straddle Tkachev to piked Tkachev, lost his legs on a giant and landed on the high bar, had to hop off. Dismounted with a tucked double double to his hands and knees.

3:57 am. Moving to the third apparatus!

3:56 am. Oskar Kirmes FIN PB: Pike to handstand, straddle salto, clean handstand out of it, turns around for a Tippelt fake-out, lands in a pike sit then presses to handstand, arched over and walked out of a full pirouette, pike sit pressed to handstand, and a double pike, lands a little short with a lunge forward.

3:54 am. Robert Kirmes FIN PB: Saw a straddle salto and a double pike with a lunge back.

Jacob Karlsen NOR SR: Good routine from what I saw! Step on the dismount.

Daniel Bago CZE VT: Didn’t see what he did, but took a step to the side off the mat on the landing.

3:50 am. Elias Koski FIN PB: Straddle salto was strong. Arched over on a half pirouette and had to walk his hands back. Big lunge on the dismount.

Aron Jacobsen DEN PH: Hit routine!

Sofus Heggemsnes NOR SR: Wasn’t paying close attention but he hit the dismount, a 1.5-twisting double back I think? Step back.

3:49 am. Ondrej Kalny CZE VT: OOOOH, pretty well-stuck kaz 1.5!!! That was nice. Good Shewfelt for his second vault. Fantastic job!

3:48 am. Daniel Radovesnicky CZE VT: Didn’t see what he did but it looked clean and had a solid landing! Maybe just a kaz?

Harald Wibye NOR SR: Invert pike to pike sit, swings through to saltos to pike sit, presses to handstand, a little short but gets there in the end, a little arched and shaky in the handstand after,  and a double double dismount with a little hop.

3:47 am. Ivan Tikhonov AZE PH: He swings pretty nicely. Legs come apart while traveling though, and he has to come off. Gets it the second time and works pretty well until the end.

Peder Skogvang NOR SR: Had a wobble on his dismount but otherwise hit.

3:45 am. Touch for the second half!

3:42 am. Milan Hosseini GER SR: He’s competing as an individual athlete which I truly don’t understand, mostly in terms of the men being allowed this but not the women? Saltos to pike sit. Hit the dismount.

Filip Lidbeck SWE FX: He’s also an individual. Randi to start, nice. Good double double! Small step. I think a full-in after that. Front layout to front double full. Double full clean and stuck. He’s awesome. Comes out of the 2.5 low but still manages the front full, just a bit rough there, and then lands the triple at the end. Great!

3:40 am. Nick Klessing GER SR: Saw him swinging at times, and he had a really big stumble back on the dismount.

Joakim Lenberg SWE FX: Caught it from the nice 2.5 to front layout. Clean double tuck and double full. Hit the last pass.

Illia Kovtun UKR PB: Good pirouette work at the start, arched over when on the single rail but fought it well into the half pirouette. Walked out of a 1.5 pirouette a bit, but got the Makuts after, clean handstand before the single rail transition, and gets the double front with a hop back.

3:38 am. Bidzina Sitchinava GEO HB: Caught a release early on, Tak, lots of front giants before turning around, hop on the dismount.

Radomyr Stelmakh UKR PB: Archy and rushed in a handstand near the beginning, Tippelt was slightly short but he made it to handstand, pirouette out, one-arm after that was nice, a little shaky on a half pirouette, and then unfortunately comes up short on the double front dismount, sits it.

3:36 am. Severin Kranzlmüller AUT VT: Hit the Kaz 1.5, decent landing.

Karl Idesjö SWE FX: Front layout to double front was great! Big stumble forward on the second pass. 2.5 to rudi I think, hop back there. Clean double full. Finishes with a triple full, just some ankle form.

Apologies, I keep tuning out Germany on rings!

3:34 am. Marcus Stenberg SWE FX: Double front with a hop forward. Nice front layout to front double full. 2.5 with a hop.

Nils Dunkel GER SR: Saw most of this and it looked good! Step back on the dismount.

Alexander Benda AUT VT: Crashed his kaz full. Ughhh.

Ioane Jimsheleishvili GEO HB: Oh no, had a hard fall and he looks like he’s holding his arm or shoulder, medics just came out.

3:33 am. Pantely Kolodii UKR PB: Had a stumble going up to handstand, looked like his feet hit the bar? Tippelt was smooth. Front straddle salto. Step back on the dismount.

Askhab Matiev AUT VT: Kaz full, a bit wild on the landing.

3:30 am. Luis Il-Sung Melander SWE FX: Hit his first pass, then a front double full with a step forward. Deep landing on the 2.5 at the end.

Levan Skhiladze GEO HB: Yamawaki, inbar, clear hip, pretty easy set so far, double layout dismount almost to his knees but it looked like he may have saved it.

3:28 am. Moving to rotation two!

3:25 am. Sofus Heggemsnes NOR PH: Scissors through to circles, single pommel then switches to the other for Russians, lots of good quick changes in direction of the circles, loses some hip and leg form occasionally, ugh, and then can’t fix it on one circle, ends up flopping onto the horse. Back on and tries to play it slow and steady on the last couple of elements, still some little blunders into the dismount unfortunately.

3:23 am. Akseli Karsikas FIN VT: Just sat a handspring double front. He ended up not opting to attempt the second vault.

Harald Wibye NOR PH: Legs came apart at times, started speeding up about halfway through and lost some hip form there, more leg form into the dismount, but stayed on.

Czech guys all hitting simple but efficient routines on rings! They go so quickly.

3:20 am. Jacob Karlsen NOR PH: Scissors down to circles, a bit piked so far, traveling now, some foot form and leg form, can’t quite make it to the dismount, kind of rushes over into the landing. I don’t know if it’s credit-able? Oh, that was a fall, lol. He gets back on and tries the dismount again, some leg form again but gets into handstand this time.

3:19 am. Elias Koski FIN VT: Think he did a kaz full, lunge back.

Vault is gonna be tricky to follow because we don’t see the start of the runway so I have no idea when someone’s going until they’ve left the table.

3:17 am. Daniel Radovesnicky CZE SR: Pike sit pressed to handstand was a little shaky, and his handstand after was a bit arched. Fights through the salto elements to pike sit and then has to push up to handstand, pretty muscled. Stuck the full-in, though!

3:16 am. Sebastian Sponevik NOR PH: Some leg form throughout including separation and bends, some hip problems too. Muscle into the dismount. Hit routine, if a bit sloppy.

Ivan Tikhonov AZE FX: Hit the opening pass and a full-in. Front full to front double full was nice. Triple full lands a bit low with his chest down.

3:15 am. Halfway point for rotation one! Apologies but sharing scores is hard with so much going on across my one million tiny screens. Whenever I check scores I miss the gymnastics. You can follow live scores at smartscoring.com.

3:11 am. Sorry I’ve been ignoring p-bars but I don’t love it so I always tune it out.

I missed Illia Kovtun on vault, but he had a hit based on the scores!

Igor Radivilov UKR VT: I believe his second vault was a tsuk double pike, another solid landing, looked happy with it.

These streams are AWFUL in terms of lags and glitches and death wheels and it’s 3 am in the U.S. for MAG. We’re definitely going to have another 2021 Euros final WAG subdivision “it’s an Olympic qualifier and Larisa Iordache is competing” situation on our hands tomorrow. Can’t complain about quals being streamed, but oh, I can.

3:10 am. Karl Idesjö SWE HB: Kovacs, layout Tkachev, Tak full, hop full, and a floaty but slightly piked full-twisting double layout with a hop, Sweden killed high bar from what I saw!

Nils Dunkel GER PH: I missed the beginning but didn’t see any big mistakes. Started losing form a bit near the end, looked like he was getting a bit tired, BIG muscle up and fight into the dismount that caused some form drama but got through to the dismount.

Igor Radivilov UKR VT: Saw the Dragulescu, really solid landing, just a baby hop. 14.533

3:08 am. Pascal Brendel GER PH: Scissors through to circles, good, has pretty straight body form throughout, especially on the Russians. Doesn’t close up much at all. Legs apart into the dismount but a hit!

Rudy Ricardo AUT SR: Another solid set for Austria, which is sadly without Vinzenz Höck due to injury. Had a step on the dismount but they’re getting through pretty cleanly without super difficult work.

3:07 am. Marcus Stenberg SWE HB: Straddle Tkachev, German giants to stalder, inbar, and a full-twisting double layout with a step back. Not a difficult set, but very well done!

3:05 am. Anze Hribar SLO FX: Front full to double front, 1.5 to front double full I think after that, also good! This stream is really glitchy. 2.5 to something before it froze, but then a REALLY low arabian double front, does a bit of a dance back to keep it up. Triple full with a big step to the side.

3:03 am. Radomyr Stelmakh UKR VT: I could see this in the background of floor and it looks like he sat it unfortunately.

Askhab Matiev AUT SR: Hit everything I saw, good landing on the full-in dismount!

Lucas Kochan GER PH: Long routine, mostly fine throughout, some pike down at times, but he got through it. Random weird hop on the dismount, came up short it looked like.

3:01 am. Kevin Buckley SLO FX: Saw him hit the first three passes, a bit bouncy, but gets everything around. Good 2.5 to finish.

Andreas Toba GER PH: Starts them off with a hit! I didn’t see the beginning but he looked happy at the end. 13.200

Some streams are randomly freezing so I am def gonna miss a few things, especially with six subdivisions going on.

2:58 am. The touch warmup is underway for the first rotation of the first subdivision! Here we will see Slovenia and Azerbaijan on floor, Germany and Norway on pommels, Austria and Czechia on rings, Ukraine and Finland on vault, Georgia on parallel bars, and Sweden on high bar.
