Happy Valley Racing Tips – 6 April 2023

VALUE BET – DIVINE ERA ridden by D. Leung
BEST BET – CABLE SPEED ridden by K. Teetan

12:45 – Race 1 | Class 5 | 2200m

Selections: 6/5/2

CABLE SPEED won his last start in good fashion. He has cracked a neat draw and it is encouraging that Karis Teetan has kept faith in the ride. LOYAL AMBITION was beaten 1.5 lengths by the top selection in his last start. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and must be strongly considered in this opening contest.

13:15 – Race 2 | Class 5 | 1000m

Selections: 5/8/6

RAGING BLAZE is in a rich vein of form and has shown good improvement in recent starts. Both of his career wins have come under this rider and the combination should go close to winning this contest. TRONIC MIGHTY finished right behind the top selection last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.

13:45 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1650m

Selections: 8/1/2

V CHEVALIERS has placed in his last two starts under Brazilian-ace Silvestre De Sousa and is nicely handicapped in this contest. READY PLAYER ONE finished alongside FEARLESS FIRE last time. The pair meet on similar weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much between them at the wire.

14:15 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1650m

Selections: 2/3/8

KUNG FU TEA finished positively when beaten half a length by shock winner King Of The Court. He enjoys this C&D and can give another good account of himself. BIG TWO was beaten just over two lengths by YOUNG VICTORY in his last start. He has cracked a neat draw and is now 3kgs better off at the weights.

14:45 – Race 5 | Class 3 | 1650m

Selections: 10/7/5

PACKING SUCCEEDER is nicely weighted with 53kgs on his back. He followed up his recent win with a good effort behind Sixth Generation and is a horse that is still on the upgrade. STAR CONTACT has shown an affinity for this C&D and this chestnut will have plenty of followers. ZONE D jumps from pole and must be respected with the current Hong Kong champion jockey in the irons.

15:15 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

Selections: 10/1/4

LORIZ is a likely frontrunner in this field from pole and should be competitive with a handy galloping weight to shoulder. KOKUSHI MUSOA has placed in his last two outings and the only concern is that he comes in at the top of the weights. DURHAM STAR has some fair form lines to his credit and must be included in quartets.

15:45 – Race 7 | Class 3 | 1650m

Selections: 5/2/7

HELENE FEELING produced an eye-catching debut run when just under two lengths behind the talented Howdeepisyourlove in his Hong Kong debut performance. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and is a genuine contender in this line-up. ROCKET SPADE was a beaten favorite behind PEGASUS GENERAL last time and will be looking to make amends.

16:15 – Race 8 | Class 4 | 1200m

Selections: 5/9/2

DIVINE ERA finished a length behind SON PAK FU last time. He is nicely weighted and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. E RAINBOW has finished runner-up in his last two starts. He was beaten a neck by the hat-trick seeking E BROTHER in his penultimate outing and is now 1.5kgs better off at the weights.

16:50 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1200

Selections: 5/6/10

WINNING ICEY has been narrowly-beaten in his last three starts. He runs well for Luke Ferraris and looks one of the better bets in the lucky last. BEAUTY GLORY finished a length behind the top selection in his penultimate outing. He is 1kg better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating them when they hit the line.
