“Added Fuel To The Fire” – Aakash Chopra On Venkatesh Prasad Bashing KL Rahul On Twitter

Indian Cricket Team would be utterly disappointed with their top-order batters as once again they couldn’t lay a foundation. Vice-captain KL Rahul once again failed to make a significant contribution. The right-handed batter managed to score 17 runs in 41 balls where he was undone by the sheer brilliance of Nathan Lyon.

The decision to bring back Shreyas Iyer into the playing 11 didn’t work well as he was dismissed cheaply. The Indian batters unlike the Nagpur Teat match allowed the bowlers to settle in. The senior batters Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli couldn’t convert their starts on a treacherous pitch which hurt the team.

Aakash Chopra on KL Rahul

Chopra was seen speaking on his YouTube channel and made interesting statements about KL Rahul.

“As soon as KL Rahul gets dismissed cheaply, he starts to trend on Twitter. Everyone wants to give their opinion and criticize him and I feel Venkatesh Prasad’s tweets have added fuel to the fire.” said Chopra.

“Being a former cricketer himself, he should know that we shouldn’t criticize our own players in the middle of the game when one inning is still remaining. After the game, you can definitely talk about any player and have your opinion.” he added.

Aakash Chopra on India’s batting line up

Chopra was quite fumed up after India’s top-order performance.

“India’s top order was disappointing once again and this is becoming a concurrent theme. They were in a spot of bother when more than half the team were back in the shed with just 140-odd on the board.” said Chopra.

“Cheteshwar Pujara has a forgetful outing in his 100th Test as once again his habit of keeping bat behind his pad cost him his wicket. These are now two consecutive failures in two innings for him.” he added.
