This afternoon, with a five-goal, three assist effort in a 13-0 win over East Stroudsburg (Pa.) South, Rachel Herbine not only takes the lead nationally in both categories (according to MaxPreps), but has also joined a special group of field hockey players to have scored more than 100 goals and 100 assists in a scholastic field hockey career.
She’s the 13th known field hockey player ever to reach triple digits in goals and assists. Oddly enough, she’s the third player in the history of Emmaus (Pa.) to achieve this feat, alongside alumnae Annika Herbine and Meredith Sholder.
She’s also the second player in her own family, following on with her sister. just like what happened a few years ago with Cami Crook and her brother Lucas hitting the 100-100 mark with Somerset-Berkeley Regional (Mass.).
