74th Walter & Olga Strand Junior/Senior City Championship

The 74th annual Walter & Olga Strand Junior/Senior Chapman Scotch City Championship took place at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course on Sunday, September 11, 2022. This was an 18-hole, 2-player team event. The competition used a Chapman Scotch format (Hit, Switch and Choose).

The 74th annual Walter & Olga Strand Junior/Senior Chapman Scotch City Championship was contested at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

The weather was great, a little overcast (maybe a little smoke from all the fires!).

Some highlights from the day: We had a past Champion team, Gallagher Father and son, and the Tom and Erin Morton family playing with their boys Evan and Ellis. Tom is also a past champion of this tournament (1993).

A great field, with lots of smiling faces. The pace of play was great, just around 4 hours.

The winning team shot a gross 71 net 63.5 to become the 74th. Winners of this event: Congratulations to Derek and Allison Chan, from Sacramento. The Callaway flight winners were Carlo and Nora Ligotti from Sonoma, they shot 83 gross and 70 Net.
